Each Toastmasters club operates under its own leadership or ‘Executive’ committee, with individuals taking on key roles including:
- President
- Vice President Public Relations
- Vice President Education
- Vice President Membership
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Sgt At Arms
The committee is selected each year by a VOTE of members (in good standing) of the club, giving plenty of opportunity for new people to come on board and help with the running of the club depending on their passions or growth areas.

There are also opportunities for leadership on particular pathways and at particular times of the year. Organising a club social event, for example, or co-ordinating one of our competition evenings, offers great opportunities to practice leadership skills.

Doncaster Speakers being part of Toastmasters International means that there are also opportunities for involvement in leadership at a much wider level. Whether it’s taking part or leading a project management team on specific training objectives, collaboration with other clubs or standing for election to a regional or national role, the opportunities can lead to things much further afield than Doncaster.
